Our Mommy said that our great-grandma Antoinette went to heaven last Saturday, August 13. Mommy said she went very peacefully in her sleep. She was 95 years old. She was Papa's Mommy (our Mommy's grandma) This picture was taken in January 2004 when Michael was 6 months old. Mommy and Papa had taken Michael to San Diego to see her. Mommy loved her a lot and will miss her terribly. She says great-grandma had a lot of people waiting for her in heaven: her mommy and daddy, her husband, her 2 sisters, her brother, and many others!

My new favorite game is peek-a-boo. Mommy or Daddy gives me a blanket or towel and I throw it over my head and wait for them to say "where's Abby?" Then I tear it off my head and smile really big. Then they say "OH! There she is!" and I laugh!

I went into my closet and got two of my packpack's and filled them with diapers. Then I tried to put both on my shoulders. I came out to the living room and waited for Mommy to take me somewhere (even though she said we didn't need to go anywhere). A few minutes later she noticed that I was fast asleep!

I really don't take a pacifier - I just like to chew on them. I like to catch Mommy's eye and then I shrug my shoulders and give her a BIG smile.

Just ANOTHER cute picture of me! I am very social and want to be entertained all the time! Mommy says I am also a HUGE drama queen. I'm not quite sure what that means but it makes Mommy shake her head a lot.

Mommy wanted to put this picture on because she thinks I'm really cute with this hat on (even though the picture is a little fuzzy). Mommy, Abby, Damma, Ant Manda, and me went to visit my cousin Jeremiah. Jeremiah is 5 months older than me and he is my Ant Beth's son. He was adopted by some really nice people. He is just about my size (a little bit taller) and we had a fun time running around and talking to each other.

Mommy noticed something in my mouth just now and discovered a nice sized tooth! It is the lower left front tooth. She said I am a month younger than Michael was when he got his first tooth. No WONDER I've been so fussy. Mommy gave me a little bit of tylenol to help and now she is wondering if that is why I've been reluctant to eat recently. My gums must of hurt too much to nurse or drink from the bottle!!!

I was SO tired after playing yesterday that I was getting cranky. So Daddy picked me up and I promptly fell asleep. I like it when he holds me.

I'm 6 Months Old

I'm Such a Big Girl!

Yesterday, August 7th, I turned 6 months old! I am such a big girl. My mommy took me to the doctors last week for a check up and the doctor said I looked really good! I am 16lbs10oz and 26inches long. I have just about outgrown my car seat! yikes! My weight has tapered off a bit but is still in the 70% for my age group. The doctor said that mommy and daddy can start feeding me big people food (that is mashed up). So we are going to try that tonight. Michael said he didn't like big people food all mashed up and would not eat it until he could chew it. We will see if I feel the same way.

Mommy and Daddy are learning that the person I love most in the world is Daddy (then Michael and then Mommy). Nobody can calm me down quite like he can. He likes to make funny faces so that I will laugh. I give him the biggest smiles when I see him and that makes him feel really good. Mommy tried to tell him before I was born just how much he was going to love me. He didn't quite understand until I was born but I'm pretty sure I am number 1 in his book! He says I'm the prettiest baby that ever lived (outside of mommy of course!)

I thought there too many pictures of Michael on this blog. So here is a very cute picture of me! I am almost 6 months old and I like to roll all over the floor (good incentive for my mommy to keep the floor clean - well as clean as it can be with a two year old and a 6 month old!).

Well....last night I was running and pushing my little golf bag in front of me when it stopped and I went over the top and smacked my mouth into the kitchen floor. I bit my upper lip and my bottom lip. Daddy jumped up and scooped me up and got me a nice cold wash cloth to stop the bleeding. Both daddy and I ended up with blood on our shirts. As soon as the shock of what happened wore off mommy couldn't keep me still - I had a lot of playing to do!

Michael Loves Letters

I made up this game yesterday. I line up all the letters in groups of two. Then I stand infront of each group of letters and say what each two letters are. It is lots of fun!

hmmmmmmm - Mommy was working in the office and came out and found this caravan of trucks in the living room. I was SO proud of myself. I kept saying "Look Mom, Trucks!"

I love to build with blocks!

I LOVE to create things with blocks. I did this all by himself. I also like to group things together and if I can do it by color that is even better. My mommy and daddy are consistantly amazed about how much I can do and understand (duh! I'm just that smart!).

I call my daddy 'daddy' but the other day I heard mommy call him 'Ben.' So I started walking around calling him Ben too. Mommy told me that I should call him Dad or Daddy - I like that better anyways.

Too Much Vacation!

So Tired!

We played so hard on vacation. There was so much to do! We played with our cousins (ALL of them), swam in the pool, ran around, went on walks, went to the waterfall, and rode bikes. We had SOOOOO much fun.

I have decided that Abby's car seat is a GREAT place to have a snack and relax. I get in and pull her blanket over my legs and just 'kick it.' Mommy just shakes her head and grabs the camera.

Mommy just LOVES this picture of me. She says it really shows how smooth and fair my skin is. She is going to have to be very diligent to keep the sunscreen on me this summer. You can't really see it but I am wearing a little terry cloth swimsuit with a big fishy on the front. It is very soft and keeps me nice and cool.

I'm 2!

I am two years old today! All of my cousins came over for my party. I had a great time opening my presents and running around. I even blew out the candle on my cake. Mommy and Daddy can't believe that I am two years old already...such a big boy.

What Happens When Michael Gets Up at 4:45am...

Sooooooooooooooo Tired!

and doesn't take a nap. Well I got up at 4:45 yesterday morning. Mommy tried to get me to go back to sleep but I wasn't tired. So we got up and I played and watched cartoons while Mommy dozed on the couch. She wanted me to take a nap around 10am (not in the afternoon because then I don't want to go to bed until 9 or 10pm) but I still wasn't tired. Then I got REALLY tired at 3pm and fell asleep on the living room rug! Mommy and Daddy let me sleep there for a little bit and then woke me up. I was a CRABBY boy!!! Then I perked up and played outside in my little pool. I went to bed at 9:00 and Mommy was SO tired that while she was laying by me she fell asleep! - Silly Mommy...

Mmmmmmmmm...Car! I am really interested in what is going on around me now and I reach for anything in front of me. If I get a hold of something it goes in my mouth. I'm drooling up a storm and chomping on everything so Mommy keeps looking and feeling in my mouth for teeth - none so far. She says nursing a baby with teeth will be a new adventure! Michael was good enough to bring me this car yesterday (NOT one of his matchbox cars - those aren't safe for a little baby like me). Mommy says I am much more interested in objects than Michael was at this age. She says he was more interested in people and didn't reach for things like I do.
