The last few days of June we spent at Warner's Hot springs, CA for a family reunion. Most everyone drove down but we flew. We knew that Aunt Fessy and Cousin Dave were flying out around the same time we were...we didn't know that not only we they on our plane BUT they were seated RIGHT behind us!!! That made the flight MUCH more fun...
We were really good on the plane - Abby didn't like take off or landing but that was the only time she cried.
Abby says "Pass the chips over! I'm on vacation!"
We had several cabins in the same cul-de-sac (and a few in the cul-de-sac next door). We all met on the big grassy area out front to BBQ and play.
Did we mention that Uncle Josh can juggle and do card and magic tricks? We did? Well it never gets old!!!
I played and ran and played and ran and one night I came up to Mommy and said "You have to put me to bed right now!" Everyone slept great!
It was so much fun to play with my cousins...we even got to play with Jake, he is in the plaid shirt. He is mommy's cousin, Julie's little boy, he is just a few months younger than me. He fit right in.
Me and my Sara...I like to say "Abby's my friend but Sara is my girl."
Sara and Jake swim a lot but not me. It took some coaxing for me to get into the pool - but once I was there it was SO fun! My favorite part of the pool were the big coolers of water. I liked to go and get everyone cups of water to drink.

This is the cold pool at Warner's hot springs. It wasn't that cold though - it was really warm.

At first Abby and I were scared to go into the big pool. So Grandma brought us a little pool to play in. Abby wasn't even sure of that but finally got in and had fun.

She didn't want to wear her bathing suit though - she DID insist on wearing the little wrap around skirt that came with it though...don't worry we were in the shade and had LOTS and LOTS of sunscreen on.

Mommy finally convinced Abby to get in the big pool with her. Mommy had this really neat sling type floaty toy and we sat in there and floated around. That was FUN!
After the kids went to bed we hung out on the porch and talked.
After dinner the Irish Dancing girls (aka Jennifer, Katie and Rachel) would entertain us with their award winning dances!
Since it was so close to Michael's birthday we decided to have a birthday party.

We played with bubbles too.
After Warner's we drove into San Diego and spent the night at Great Grandma's house. She passed away in 2005 and we miss her a lot. Great Grandma (and Papa) moved into this house in the early 50's so this is the house my Mommy went to as a little girl. She thought is was fun (and sentimental) to watch Abby and I run around like she used to. We ran out the kitchen, onto the Lanai, into the hallway, through the living room, through the dining room, into the kitchen and around again. We even went down into the back yard and shook the Orange tree - those oranges were SOOOOO good. We spent a lot of time sitting on the Lanai.

The sun setting from the Lanai at Great Grandma's. Another beautiful California evening.

Goofing off while we waited for the our plane home.

Whewwwww - vacation is so exhausting!
Thanks Grandma and Papa (and Great Uncle John) for such a great trip we can't wait to go again next year!!!

There is a hot pool right next to it (from the original Indian hot spring - but it was too hot for kids to get in)
