BOOO!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
It is Halloween!!! This is the first year Abby and I were big enough to really go trick or treating together this year. I was really excited to wear my fireman costume. Abby refused to put her costume on until Mommy reminded her that it matched her shoes. Then she wouldn't put the hood up except for pictures.
We went downtown to the fire station where Uncle Douglas works. I really wanted to show him my fireman costume. Here we are in front of an old timey fire truck. We also went to Uncle Ray's office to see him! :)

We also went to visit Great Grandma. She took us down to the main social space so she could show us off to all her friends. In the dining room they had a bowl of candy with a hand. When you put your hand in it the hand tries to grab you...it was kind of spooky!

Mt. Angel Dinner
*Mommy here*
Way back in October, Ben and I went to the Mt. Angel Fundraiser dinner with Mom, Dad, Fr. John, Jim and David. It was a great night and we had a lot of fun.
Note: for some reason the pictures make everyone's hair look more grey than it is...just saying :)

It is still really cool for me to see my little brother in clerics! If you aren't familiar with the seminary - once seminarians reach a certain level of theology and preparation they wear the collar.
The Archbishop has asked Jim to go to Rome to get his Masters degree in Theology (like John did). He leaves this summer....I'm so stinkin' proud of him!
editor's note: Jim has since shaved his beard and don't I look awesome without braces! lol

Cake for Mom!
So for Mommy's birthday we insisted on making her a cake. The first picture was when Michael said he wanted to 'hatch' the egg...Mommy was trying to help him and he squeezed a little too hard and then Mommy spent some time digging egg shell out of the bowl. Mommy kept trying to show me how to spread the sprinkles around but I decided all the sprinkles needed to go into a little pile on the top. Also, we didn't have a '9' candle so that is why we have a '2' (from my birthday), a '4' (from Michael's birthday) and 5 extra candles...boy Mommy is old!

boy that cake was yummy! I kept saying "Mommy. I LOVE chocolate!" And for the record, Michael had more cake on him afterwards than I did - :P
Halloween Candy!!!
We got some early Halloween presents and candy!!! Yesterday a big package arrived that had Michael and my names on it...it was from DziaDzia and Nana!!! It had a special Halloween bowl and plate and bag of candy in it for each of us. Let me tell you we were SO EXCITED!!!!!
THANK YOU DZIADZIA AND NANA!!!

"I'm Not Done Yet."
Sometimes....
Pumpkin Patch Time!
On October 17 our preschool went to the pumpkin patch. It rained buckets the day before so it was nice and muddy for our visit. First my class went to the pumpkin patch and then Michael's class did (we had to ride in a wagon to get to the fields).
Michael (on the left with the hood up) says "MOM! I found the perfect Michael pumpkin!".
Michael didn't want to take his hood off for a pumpkin picture.
First Day of School ... a little late ...
I wanted to show my teacher that I could write my name - she was very impressed.
